"I recently visited a friend in India and picked up a nasty and persistent bug, which even antibiotics would not help against. Two months later I still suffered from night-sweats, daily headaches and a general feeling of being 'under the weather'. A friend recommended John and although I wasn't quite sure what to expect, I was absolutely amazed by the changes even one session of cranial osteopathy brought about. My headaches disappeared immediately, as did the night-sweats. John also diagnosed a trauma in my lungs I was not aware of - several days after treatment my lungs felt completely open and I could finally keep up again when running with my partner! John radiates calm and confidence, and is a very good listener. Arriving for a session is like switching off from the outside world with all its worries and stresses - nothing beats the feeling of improvement and total relaxation after each treatment."
"Two years ago I had a brain haemorrhage and was rushed to hospital, the surgeons did a brilliant job and I have since been given the all clear. However from that day I have not 'felt myself' - I get regular headaches, tinnitus, neck pain and feel continually rundown. A trauma counsellor suggested cranial osteopathy, I wasn't sure how it could help but I was willing to try anything. The treatments with John were very gentle and he was always careful not to do more than my body could take. Incredibly since seeing John my drive and energy have started to return. I now have many days when I do not wake up with a headache and on these days I am beginning to feel like my old self again. From feeling that there was little hope of further recovery, John's treatments have given me a belief that I really will be well again in time."
"I had been knocked off my scooter and landed on my side; two months later I still had mid-back, chest, shoulder and hip pain. I went to see a massage therapist friend of mine, but she took one look at my back and told me I needed to see an osteopath - she suggested John. John asked me a lot of questions about the accident and how I had been since, he also gave me a thorough examination. He explained to me what had happened to my body and why it had not got better, he then gave me a very gentle cranial treatment. When I got up off the bench I couldn't believe how much better I was. I saw him a week later for a follow-up and I haven't had any problems since. John's treatment was professional, thorough and effective."
"When I became pregnant for the fourth time I was determined to have a normal delivery, as two of my previous births had been breech and required Caesarean sections. At around 30 weeks I had a scan which showed that the baby was in the breech position. Due to the scarring from the previous C-sections the doctors were not be able to turn the baby and advised me that I would need to have another C-section. I was due for a second scan at 36 weeks, so I decided to see a cranial osteopath in the meantime. John gave me a treatment a week for three weeks and helped me to feel less anxious and more in control of the birth. When I had the next scan it showed that the baby was now presenting head down - I was extremely happy! A month later I had a normal delivery with no complications and now I have a beautiful baby girl. Later we both went to see John for a check-up and after examining us, he said we were in great shape and did not need further treatment. It meant a great deal to me to have John's support throughout my pregnancy and I was so grateful not to have to go through another C-section."
"When Gabriela was only a few weeks old she started having reflux and seemed generally unsettled. It was particularly bad, so a friend suggested cranial osteopathy. My husband and I could see the results straight away and after just four treatments with John she was a lot better. It also helped her to have correct sleeping posture - she is now seventeen months old and has been walking well for over five months... and running and climbing and jumping!"
"Six months ago I hurt my shoulder lifting a heavy suitcase and it just wouldn't get better. A chiropodist friend suggested I see John, as did my wife, but I was hoping that it would sort itself out. It was only when the pain was so bad that I couldn't play golf that I relented. John explained to me that my shoulder problem was actually caused by a tennis elbow injury I'd had fifteen years previously. In two treatments he sorted out my shoulder and elbow so I am now able to play golf whenever I like. John also gave me stretching exercises, which have made me more supple so I hit my golf shots much further bring on Tiger!"
"Our son Shawn has asthma and is dyspraxic, he is also very active and hardly sleeps. Because we need to keep an eye on him the whole time, my partner and I are both continually exhausted. A friend of ours works at Common Sense and she suggested we take Shawn to see John. My partner was well up for this, but I was pretty sceptical as I didn't see how it could help. To my amazement Shawn fell asleep during the first treatment! Since then he has slept up to eight hours at night, which means we can get some sleep, and incredibly the other day we had to wake him up in the morning. Whatever it is John does, it not only helps Shawn but it's also given us back our energy and made our lives a lot easier."
"I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis forty-seven years ago and I often suffer with aches in my body. Over ten years ago I developed a terrible pain in my left shoulder and arm. I tried everything to sort this out including steroid injections and two operations, but nothing made the pain go away. My medication was very strong and upset my stomach, even with it I could hardly sleep because of the pain. I went to see John because I knew that osteopaths often treat injuries, but he explained to me that there was nothing wrong with my shoulder and that the problem was from a nerve in my neck. After six treatments the pain was gone and I was able to stop taking the painkillers. I had further treatments with John to make sure that the problem didn't reoccur."
